Robbie Spencer is in his 2nd year as Executive Director of Turner Recreation Commission. Robbie comes with an extensive background in Parks and Recreation. He was a Division One Football Player at Ohio University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management. He’s had stints as an Athletic Director for Sheridan Wyoming Recreation District where his Athletic Department was featured in the USA Today. He then moved to Tennessee, becoming the youngest Executive Director in the State, where he built an entire Parks and Recreation Department from scratch. Which earned him a feature in the November 2017 issue of the NRPA Magazine titled “Creating Successful Departments as a Young Professional”. Robbie also had a brief stint as an Executive Director in Illinois and worked for Daytona International Speedway. He has served as a guest lecturer at several Universities as well as multiple conferences and seminars. He spends all his free time with his son Jett.
