Butterfly Garden

The Turner Community Garden features a butterfly garden where monarch butterflies grow and are released. 

Every year the garden catches, tags, and releases their butterflies before they migrate south for the winter. Last year we tagged 21 Monarchs & also released many other Monarchs that were too old to be tagged. For data collection, it’s important that we tagged those that would live long enough to migrate south.
