Beginning June 8, the Turner Aquatic Center will open for limited lap swimming.
To reserve a lane for a one hour block please call (913) 288-3339.

Initial opening

Lap Pool – Eight total, one patron per lane, one lifeguard, and one roving lifeguard. Allowing for one person per lane.

Beginning Wednesday, July 22nd  we will be implementing a new COVID-19 employee and patron screening process that will take place as you arrive at the pool. You will complete a paper questionnaire and we will take your temperature. A temperature of 100.4 or higher will require you to leave the building. Most importantly, if you are ill prior to coming to the pool, please stay home and cancel your lane reservation.

Patrons will wear a face mask upon arrival.

Patrons will make reservations to come to the TAC, much like a golf course tee-time, for the times they want to use the facility and a lane will be reserved for them to use for a one-hour time block. To reserve a lane, call the main phone number, (913) 288-3339.

Turner Aquatic Center COVID Policy Change
Locker Room Usage
Starting Tuesday, October 20th we will make our men’s and women’s locker rooms available for our patrons to change out of their swim suits. Patrons will still arrive "ready to swim" and wear clothes over their swimming attire. Showers are also available if patrons decide to use them. The main restriction is that we will allow only four women in the women’s locker room and four men in the men’s locker room at one time.

If a patron wants to change after swmming they will get a card that has a number(1, 2, 3, or 4) on it when they check in at the front desk. Four for the women’s locker room and four for the men’s locker room. This is on a first come first serve basis.

If a person wants to change out of their swim suit and they are not one of the first four men or women, then they have to wait on a chair in our lobby area for a person to come out of their respective gender locker room before they can go in to change.

Our bathrooms are still not to be used to change out of or into swim suits.

Restrooms are available.

 No group workout classes.

No birthday parties, private or public.

No swimming lessons private or group.

No toys of any kind either here at the facility or brought in by patrons.

This protocol will be in place until new guidelines are issued. Patrons will wear swim wear to the facility and dress over the swim attire as they exit.

No showers will be permitted in the earlier phases of reopening.
